Our Members Citizens for Schools is organized by committee. Our members bring their individual talents and passions to their committees. Chairperson: Jennifer Biddinger
Legislative committee This team will develop a strategy to approach the state legislature to affect change to the state funding system for schools. Members: Nan Savidge- Chairperson Scott Johnson Inez Finley Beth Sanders
Fund Raising committee This team will create a variety of approaches to raise the necessary funds to run our campaign. This will include soliciting school staff, families, area businesses, and others. Other ideas may also be generated. Members: Liz Newsome - Chairperson Pam Klaus Hiroko Flanagan Hollie Moots Jennifer Willis
Marketing committee This group will help to create the message that will be delivered to encourage the community to vote yes. This will include several working groups to accomplish the necessary tasks. The Marketing committee is comprised of five sub-teams: • Yard Signs/Buttons • Information Tables at School Functions, etc. • Print Ad, Flyers, Literature, Content for Web Site • Production – copying, button production, etc. Members: Tori Lewis – Co-Chair Lori Warner – Co-Chair Linda Curry Loni Gordon Heather King Kim Kruse Sherri Mabee Web Site Committee This committee will be responsible for the modification, maintenance and updates to abrighterroad.org , the creation of content, formatting and coordination with the Marketing Committee. Community Conversations committee This team will focus on building relationships within our community. This may include coordinating town meetings, information tables and presenting at a variety of meetings. Business Relations committee This team will build relationships with local businesses and the Chamber of Commerce. Members: Ann Nelson Melanie Ziegler Student/Staff Involvement committee This team will work with the school staff and students to utilize their energy and enthusiasm to support our campaign.
